Impact Investing

The SDG Partnership Platform, in collaboration with the Global Steering Group for Impact Investing (GSGII), has spearheaded the process to formally establish a  National Advisory Board for Impact Investing in Kenya (Impact Investing Kenya) which will serve as an umbrella body for impact investors and will review and recommend policy improvements to enhance the enabling environment that helps SDG impact financing partnerships to thrive, as well as refine mechanisms to match SDG impact financing demand with supply. In support of this process, the SDGPP  is leading a multi-stakeholder Task Force with the SDGPP offering technical and coordination "secretariat" support.

Current taskforce partners include Intellecap, the Social Enterprise Society of Kenya (SESOK), the East African Venture Capital and Private Equity Alliance (EAVCA), Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE), Convergence, Africa Venture Philanthropy Alliance (AVPA), East Africa Philanthropy Network (EAPN) and the Development Partners Group. Impact Investing Kenya is envisaged to formally launch in 2022.
